Medical Providers and patients are aware of and consent to the Acute Doctor’s processing and storage of personal data for the internal evaluation process (Personal Data Act). Medical providers and patients have the right to inspect the information recorded on AcuteDoctor.com. Medical providers consent to the publication of their name and other relevant information on the Acute Doctor’s website.
Privacy policy
General
In this Privacy Policy, we provide details of how Acute Doctor (www.acutedoctor.com) processes the personal data supplied by you when you register via our electronic application service on our website. Acute Doctor is the controller of the personal data about you that we process. You can find contact details under the ‘Contact details’ heading below.
How we process your personal data
Acute Doctor processes your personal data for the following purposes and based on the following legal bases:
- We process all data you submit in your registration to be able to register your information and assess your data based on the criteria laid down for your registration for which you have registered. The legal basis for our processing is the consent for processing that you are asked to provide when you send your registration to us.
- After the selection process has been completed, we will continue to process necessary data about you and others who have applied for our “Dedicated Medical Assistance” (DMA) in order to (i) follow up on your case, (ii) keep a record of those who have been involved in your case and (iii) be able to guarantee a fair, transparent application process for future treatments and prevent misuse, for example in the form of multiple applications for the same treatment from the same person. The legal basis, in this case, rests on a balancing of interests, where it is our opinion that the Acute Doctor’s need to be able to continue processing your data for this purpose is more important than your interest in having the data erased.
- If you are have been accepted to our DMA program by us, we will inform a brief presentation of your case on our website to your medical provider, along with your name. The legal basis for our processing is your consent for your treatment and your name to be presented on our website to our Medical Providers in order to find a suitable medical provider for your treatment.
For our processing under a), b) and c), you may, at any time, withdraw your consent by contacting us (contact details are below). This means, of course, that we will then be unable to register and assess your application or publish your case or your treatment on our website.
For how long do we save your personal data?
Your personal data is saved for as long as there is a need to save it to fulfill the purposes for which the data was collected under this Privacy Policy. Acute Doctor has decided that for the processing indicated under b) above, it is necessary for your name, personal identity number (where appropriate) and application to be saved for 10 years.
To whom do we disclose your personal data?
The registration form on our website or sent by us to you is supplied by the Acute Doctor. Only to processes your personal data on behalf of the Acute Doctor and in order for the Acute Doctor to fulfill the purposes of processing your personal data set out in Clause 2 above. Your name and the name of your treatment may also be published on our website if you are accepted to our DMA program.
Transfer of personal data to third countries
Acute Doctor will not transfer your personal data to any country outside the EU/EEA without your consent.
Your rights
In its capacity as controller, Acute Doctor is liable to ensure that your personal data is processed in pursuance of existing legislation.
At your request or on its own initiative, Acute Doctor will change your data anonymous, rectify, erase or complement your data that is found to be incorrect, incomplete, or misleading.
You are entitled to request Acute Doctor to rectify or erase your personal data (for example if such erasure is required under applicable legislation) and to request the restriction of continued processing of your personal data. You are also entitled to object to the processing under the conditions specified by applicable personal data legislation (for example if you question whether the personal data is correct or the processing is legal). Acute Doctor will notify every patient or medical provider to whom personal data has been disclosed under Clause a, b and c, above of any rectification or erasure of data and restriction of processing of data under this Clause.
You are entitled to data portability, i.e. a right, under certain circumstances, to receive and transfer your personal data in a structured, generally used, machine-readable format to another controller or Medical Provider.
You are entitled, on submission of a signed, written application, to receive a record extract from Acute Doctor, stating the personal data recorded about you, the purposes of the processing, and the recipients to which the data has been disclosed or will be disclosed. You are also entitled, in the record extract, to receive information about the anticipated period for which the data will be saved, or the criteria applied to determine this period. You are also entitled, in the record extract, to receive information about your other rights specified in this Clause.
Please contact us if you have any complaints about our processing of your personal data so that we can correct our processing where necessary. You are also entitled to submit complaints about Acute Doctor’s processing of your personal data to the Swedish Data Protection Authority.
Protection of your personal data
You should always feel secure about submitting your personal data to us. Acute Doctor has therefore implemented the security measures required to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, modification, and erasure. We will not disclose your data to any party other than as explicitly stated in this Privacy Policy.
